This page explains how Darian Immigration Law PC ("we," "us," or "the firm") uses cookies and similar technologies (like browser local/session storage) on darianlaw.com, what information those technologies involve, and how you can control your preferences. It does not cover how we handle information you share with us directly during a consultation or as part of representing you — that's governed by your engagement with the firm, not by this website.
The short version
We use cookies and similar technologies for two optional purposes — understanding how visitors use the site (analytics) and measuring whether an ad led to a booking (advertising) — plus a small amount of first-party browser storage to remember your cookie choice and to connect a booking back to the visit that led to it. Nothing here requires cookies to work: the site and the scheduler function identically whether you accept, reject, or never make a choice at all. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page.
Categories of cookies & similar technologies
When you first visit, every category below defaults to off until you choose otherwise. You can accept everything, reject everything nonessential, or turn on exactly the categories you're comfortable with.

First-party browser storage we use ourselves
Separate from third-party cookies, this site stores a small amount of information directly in your browser, first-party (never sent anywhere except back to our own site or, for the items below marked as such, appended to the link that opens our scheduler):
- Your cookie choice (
dl_consent_v1, local storage) — which categories above you accepted, and when. Not shared with anyone; used only to apply your choice on later pages. - Campaign/click parameters from the current visit (
dl_attribution, session storage — cleared when you close your browser tab) — if you arrived via a link containing tracking parameters (likeutm_sourceor a Google click identifier), we hold onto those, for this browsing session only, so we can pass them along to the scheduler and, if you've turned on the Advertising category above, include the click identifier in the booking record described next. - A booking-attribution record (stored on our server, not in your browser) — created only at the moment you click to open the scheduler. It contains a random token (not derived from anything about you), which page sent you to the scheduler, and — only if the corresponding category above is turned on — a Google Analytics client/session identifier and/or a Google click identifier. It never contains your name, email, phone number, or anything about your case. It's kept for 90 days and then automatically expires.
Your choices
The first time you visit, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject nonessential, or open Manage preferences to turn Analytics and Advertising on or off independently. You can change your mind at any time — every page on this site has a Cookie Settings link in the footer that reopens the same preferences panel. Rejecting some or all categories does not affect your ability to browse the site, read articles, or book a consultation — booking works exactly the same regardless of your choice.
Note for review: this policy does not currently include a separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism. Whether one is required depends on how the advertising measurement described above is legally characterized under applicable state privacy law — see this round's report for the specific flag.
The scheduler (Book Like A Boss)
Scheduling and completing a booking happens on Book Like A Boss, a third-party scheduling platform (bookme.name) — not on this site. Information you enter directly into their booking form is governed by their own privacy practices, not this policy. Please do not enter your Social Security number, A-number, passwords, or confidential case documents into the scheduler's own fields.
What we don't collect through this mechanism
None of the cookies, browser storage, or attribution records described above ever contain your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, immigration case details, or any other information you'd consider personal or sensitive. Information you provide directly to the firm — for example, during a consultation or through a contact form — is handled under the firm's separate client and case-handling practices, which this page does not cover.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what's described above changes — for example, if we add a new analytics or advertising tool, or change how long something is retained. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
